From an ancient tradition to a symbol of holiday cheer, this is the history of the Christmas tree.First lady Jill Biden kicked off the holiday season in the nation's capital on Monday by accepting delivery of the official White House Christmas tree -- with all the sleigh bells and whistles one might expect.
The tree arrived at the White House Portico on an evergreen-colored carriage decked out in holiday greenery and pulled down the driveway by two Clydesdale horses -- Ben and Winston -- who were adorned with silver sleigh bells and with paper Christmas trees in their braids. A four-piece band played Christmas classics, including"O, Christmas Tree" and"O, Come All Ye Faithful," as the tree was delivered.
"It's beautiful -- it's magnificent, actually," she told reporters when asked what she thought of the tree. A National Guard mom herself, Biden intended to honor the role of the National Guard this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the White House said.First lady Jill Biden hands a branch from the official 2021 White House Christmas Tree to Beau Biden, son of Hunter Biden, center, at the White House, Washington, Nov, 22, 2021. Standing with Hunter Biden is his wife, Melissa Cohen.
That tree could have been absorbing CO2 and breathing O. Thanks Jill
What happens if she says no?
Happy holidays to all
I bet First Lady Jill Biden really enjoys Christmas unlike the prior totally disinterested, and bothered, first lady

I am glad we have someone who loves Christmas and not someone saying fuck Christmas
What a class act.
Great First Lady
With global warming why do we spend every December killing million of trees. It is time we stopped doing it. Putting up a tree in you house proves nothing. (You can get fake plastic ones)
