ByMONTGOMERY, Ala. - More wet weather is expected Sunday and Monday as a low pressure system moves across Alabama. Along with the wet weather, we are giving afor a few strong to severe storms that will be possible Sunday afternoon into the night and through Monday morning.
Sunday will start off mild and remain warm through the afternoon, as highs climb to the lower to middle 70s. Wind will be out of the south around 5 to 10 mph, gusting at times. Passing showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible, increasing in coverage through the afternoon and evening.As the low pressure moves closer to the region and a stalled boundary starts to lift north, showers and storms will likely form in the warm and muggy environment across our area.
Tuesday will be chilly, even with sunshine returning. Highs will only top out in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees with a north wind, lows will drop back to the middle to lower 30s under a mostly clear sky.
