No residents or firefighter responders were injured in the fire that happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. at Polo Club Apartments on Polo Drive near Howe Road, according to a news release from officials. The Southwest Emergency Dispatch Center got a call from residents stating that a porch was on fire, the release says.The fire extended from a resident’s porch deck to the roof. Strongsville firefighters used one fire engine, two ladder trucks, a medical unit and a command unit to help put out the fire with the help of the other departments, the release says.
The American Red Cross came to the scene to assist residents with housing and gathering personal items.
