The private parties are capped at 20 people.
There are 17 movies to choose from, including recent releases like"Tenet" and"Honest Thief," as well as classics including"Monsters Inc." and"Shrek."A view of the closed AMC Theater, amid the coronavirus pandemic in Burbank, Calif., May 12, 2020.Those who sign up can pay for extra features including a microphone to introduce your guests over the PA system, which costs an extra $100.
The move comes as the U.S. movie theater industry continues to take a financial hit due to COVID-19 health regulations that have forced theaters to either close or allow only limited capacity.
So...$100 up to 20 people?.....that’s $5 a person. Maybe. But, only if proper sterilization is done after every show and they replace cloth seats with pleather or leather. Maybe.

Only thing I’ll miss about Movie Theaters are the Popcorn and liquid gold that goes in the middle and the top. I won’t miss paying 25 bucks for it plus a drink though.
This is not a bad gig if you wanna do a small movie party with you and a couple friends and watch whatever you want... too bad there aren't any in my area and I wasn't bombarded with school work.

Theatres are desperate. AMC is trying to stay alive now that Regal has shuttered. It’s a shame. The industry survived on popcorn and soda, not movies. Movies were the pull, food was then pushed. I think micro drive-ins will make a comeback. We shall see.
