Still, Wasserman senses some real vulnerability for Upton, now 68 and in office since the Reagan era."I'd be very surprised if Fred Upton runs for another term. He won his primary in 2020 with a pretty unconvincing margin for someone who's been there since 1987."
If the district is an Republican stronghold and there's no reasonable possibility for a democrat to win than it may be prudent for democrats and Independents to vote for the Republican incumbent. In other words, beat the Trumplicans any which way we can!
