- U.S. appeals judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump’s third nominee to the Supreme Court, will face a series of informal and formal meetings with the Republican-controlled Senate, which has the power to install her in the lifetime role.

Trump wants Barrett seated before the Nov. 3 election. That leaves little time for the Senate to fulfill its role and confirm the new justice. Here is a breakdown of what’s next:Barrett as early as Tuesday is expected to begin informal meetings with senators on Capitol Hill, starting with Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Barrett will answer a questionnaire about her background, professional career and finances. That is followed by a public hearing and finally a vote by the committee to send the nomination to the full Senate. The Federal Bureau of Investigation will complete its own investigation and share its findings with the Judiciary Committee.

Fantastic nomination. Well done to Trump. Excellent news.

Step one: GOP establishment tell Trump. Step: 2 Trump announces via Twitter and fox news. Step 3: GOP confirms their own pic in a kangaroo court, make belief hearing at the senate. They said they had votes before we even knew candidates, so why pretend

we all know the steps - and they are all backwards

She looks like a strict mum I bet her kids don’t get away with. much.

Could you have picked a more unflattering picture?

They could have a vote Monday if they want.

Yes!

Step one, Donald Trump ask Vladimir Putin if this is who he wants. TrumpTraitor

Skips investigation. goes straight to vote along party lines. sends nomination to Senate for a week of argument followed by vote along party lines. Done. What happens when Senates voice descent before a hearing is even scheduled. No need for more information,

Step 1 is for a craven, treasonous, cognitively unfit leader to nominate her to a position where she can impose her religious beliefs on everyone. Step 2 is for craven, treasonous turtle from hell ram it through the Senate. Easy leash

The only requirement is a vote by the Senate and signature of POTUS! The rest is theatre.

Just curious, who set the precedent to use the “nuclear option” to push through Supreme Court justices? Maybe before you give your team power you need to realize eventually the other team gets the same power.

Wonder if she will be slaughtered in the media like any male counterparts? I mean now that we are equal right...democrat thoughts?

You skipped they smear campaign step which is well underway

JudgeAmyBarrett lack of common sense in full display as she accepts the nomination without wearing a mask...

Abandon principals and protect the president from valid critism

She accepted a nomination before her predecessor was even buried. That's all I need to know about her.

Skip the confirmation hearings and go straight to the vote. You watch.

DictatorTrump handmade SCOTUS

she looks cool

The Senate holds some stupid hearings, then they vote, and then the liberal tears flow. The end!

...AND, if Trump forces the Supreme Court to call the election - then all HIS appointees should RECUSE themselves.

Republicans are rushing to put a justice on the Supreme Court who will back their lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act, kicking millions off their health care and raising their costs in the middle of the pandemic.

She even said that a Judge shouldn’t be nominated in an election year. The hypocrite.

//republicans don’t care about anyone they’ll just sit her on the bench.

Why do steps matter lol he picked her its done get it over it Reuters

Next steps: wait until after the election to let the American people decide.

52-48 the next and only step

1. Russians interfere in the US election 2. A mob boss is elected President 3. Someone on SCOTUS dies. 4. Corrupt Senators suck up to the Don.

Hi, 133. And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous 134. Who spend [in the cause of Allah ] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good;

This shouldn’t happen. Let the people decide. It is the election year and it’s only a month and a bit away anyone that agrees with this conformation is anti democratic and is a commie at heart. Why for republicans hate democracy
