Fact check: Biden tells inaccurate story about his 1973 meeting with Israeli PM

Washington President Joe Biden has a favorite story about his long relationship with Israel. For decades, he has been publicly recounting his 1973 meeting with then-Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir -- which he described in 2015 as"one of the most consequential meetings I've ever had in my life."

But parts of the version of the story Biden told on Wednesday, at a White House menorah lighting for the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, were not accurate.Most of the details of Biden's Wednesday account were the same or very similar to the details in his previous accounts.

How horrible! How many lies did Trump tell in just the past 5 years? I believe he also repeated them several times. One of them had something to do with a fake news network and another was about some big lie?

I know people that tell stories from two months ago differently from how they actually happened. They are not intentionally lying. It’s about how humans remember things. That’s why eye witnesses are not as reliable as many believe them to be.
