Household cleaning products may be harmful to young lungs, a new study warns: In the study, infants who had the highest levels of exposure to cleaning products were 37% more likely to develop asthma by age 3.

due to their higher respiration rates and regular contact with household surfaces," according to study lead researcher Tim Takaro. He's a physician-scientist in the faculty of health sciences at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia.
