The crowd of nurses outside protesting cheered, cried and hugged after hearing the sentence. The relief came after the health care workers spent hours in the sun and cling onto every word of the judge’s lengthy sentencing explanation for several minutes, some linked in a chain with hands locked. Vaught apologized to the family in court, saying words will never fully express her"remorse and sorrow."Vaught also apologized that discussion of systemic hospital problems and the danger of criminalizing mistakes by health care workers took some attention away from Charlene Murphey.

Aleece Ellison traveled from Texas to join them. An emergency room nurse for 14 years, she said she broke down crying when Vaught was found guilty.Ellison said the outcome could determine whether she stays in nursing. She said she came to Nashville to “let the world know that criminalizing a mistake, an honest mistake, is not a direction we want to go in.”

Ex-nurse sentenced to probation in patient medication deathNASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A former Tennessee nurse whose medication error killed a patient was sentenced to three years of probation Friday as hundreds of health care workers rallied outside the courthouse, warning that criminalizing such mistakes will lead to more deaths in hospitals. I'd like to see anyone in this thread, upon realizing they made a mistake that could kill someone, IMMEDIATELY turn to their superior and say 'I made a mistake that may kill someone and we need to address the situation.' Healthcare workers need to be able to report mistakes. Thats why a career in medicine isnt for most people, one being that you dont have the luxury of making grave mistakes because lives are on the line

Biden and Manchin also, Republicans invited into the Democratic Party, on some weird uniparty exchange program, like Liz Cheney, who's a Democrat. The entire 'Squad' voted in favor of the $40 billion bill. MaddowBlog So the President of The United States is now responsible for baby formula? Only Democratic Presidents are responsible for things that are related to CEO’s and corporate boards. But the media is owed by billionaires so silly attacks to get their way are common.
