EU urges Iran to comply with nuclear accord or face action

BRUSSELS - EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, France, Germany and Britain on Monday urged Iran to stick to the 2015 nuclear agreement with major powers or face action which could include the reimposition of sanctions. The three countries and Mogherini expressed concerns about Iran’s decision to resume low-grade uranium enrichment at its underground Fordow nuclear plant last week, saying the move was inconsistent with the accord.

“We affirm our readiness to consider all mechanisms in the JCPOA, including the dispute resolution mechanism, to resolve the issues related to Iran’s implementation of its JCPOA commitments,” they said, referring to the deal by its formal name.

FACT is the accord was entered into with the reward of reduction in USA sanctions & movement towards normal relations with the W'tn world ruled by USA. USA pulled out & have created sanctions greater than before the accord. Iran had complied with the accord. EU et al agrees that.

Iran has no incentive to comply with anything. The EU has proven itself scared of the US and impotent.

Tell Trump to put on his panties, admit he screwed up and to re-instate the deal.

The sanctions against Iran are harsher than those against Saddam after Iraq invaded Kuwait. Iraq could could still sell their oil for food. Iran can't even do that. They're being strangled till they accept US, Israeli and KSA hegemony in the region and all that that entails.

Iran has worked out the EU has lost its NATO mojo, Europe is too populist, and is simply a group of apologist politicians and public servants. The UK is well out of that lot (if Brexit ever happens).

Or what? More sanctions. Iran didn't break the JCPOA agreement, the USA did. So Iran gets sticks but no carrots. This was predictable on so many levels. But what do I know!
