Some Republican lawmakers, typically in lockstep with the president or at least refrain from publicly criticizing him, said Trump had gone too far in appearing to use force to clear the way for his visit to the church.

There are already a active duty troops being used along the southern border in support roles. The insurrection act didn’t have to be enacted to deploy them. The same can be done in US cities to free up police to bust these thugs stealing, destroying, and killing.
