Almost six years ago, Eric Garner took his last breath after being put in a chokehold by a New York City police officer.
His last words,"I can't breathe," became a rallying cry in the Black Lives Matter protest movement. This week the same words were used by George Floyd, a black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer placed his knee on Floyd's neck. Floyd was arrested Monday after officers responded to a call about an alleged forgery in progress. Video taken by witnesses shows 46-year-old Floyd pleading that he is in pain and can't breathe for several minutes.

This officer intended to take this man's life," Carr told CNN."There's no other way. Look at that video, they outright murdered that young man. No matter what he did, he wasn't doing anything to threaten them, so why would they kill that young man? Just like they killed my son," she said.

Has there been a report on the cause of death? I'd like to know if having his knee on him was the cause before sentencing.
Everyone who is created by God must be seen condemnng this wicked, brutal cops depriving a human being of air because his black, he never chooses to be black. Murdered this dude while others were watching & covering. Justice commensurate dead by hanging to all cops present.

This is beyond words. That man is heard screaming he can’t breathe and that bastard kept his knee on his throat for 8 minutes. This cop is a murderer and must be charged as one. First degree murder. To his family our hearts are with you for your loss. It’s murder!
It is horrible to sit here and watch while a cop kills a man with his knee in abt 5 mins right on the tv-sick!
It is déjà vu and unfortunately I feel just like Eric’s death these officers will not be going to jail for their crime. Unless this country put officers in prison for these types of murder it will not stop. Losing their jobs is a small price to pay these officers need prison.
