Although these products obviously don't account for the bulk of car sales at this moment in time — Riversimple won't actually sell its cars, offering them on a subscription service instead — that such a range of companies are working on fuel-cell offerings at all shows some see potential in the technology.

"As and when refueling infrastructure expands, they will offer a convenient alternative form of electrified transport over a fully electric BEV [battery-powered electric vehicles]," they said. "The range of hydrogen applications will increase, enabling cheaper, more efficient power supply and we'll increasingly see hydrogen powering cars, buses, trains and trucks," they added.

Fuel cell electric vehicles and hydrogen energy, the FCHEA said, offered customers "a zero-emission option with performance they expect and no change to daily routines — long range, quick refueling, and the ability to scale to larger platforms without adding restrictive weight and size."

Hydrogen is better than electric

nelhydrogen PowerHouseEG

Of course he has. Hydrogen is a threat to his overvalued Tesla holdings.

And Bio CNG is an environmentally friendly fuel and CNG in general, because people have been using gas stoves at home for decades and nothing bad has happened to them!!😉

Yes,but here's the question: what is easier and cheaper to produce-hydrogen or Bio CNG?Because CNG,including Bio CNG,is a ready-made fuel that can be used now and can be produced in almost every country! And by the way, almost any car can be equipped with CNG,even your old Ford!😉

When u haul it down the road u have to record the pressure in the tank and the temp outside every 3 hours to make sure the tank isn’t over pressured and about to have an uncontrolled release. A parking lot of cars full of hydrogen would be a massive bomb.

If you put hydrogen gas in ur car parked in ur garage over a week away on vacation , as the gas expands it has to vent . Your house will be blown to bits . And probably your neighbors house too

I am a truck driver. I have hauled Hydrogen over the road in bulk . 18000 gallon tank . No way in hell I would put that in a car , park it in my garage . It is super volatile. It will burn at 5700 degrees mixed with O2 . It’s too dangerous for the average person to handle

Surprised cnbc didn’t include this in the article- Indian minister with a great track record for execution just made a huge usage plan (see Indian news article) Elon Musk’s “fool sells” prediction vs a lot of credible pilots - interesting!!

If I can't read the story because you want money or whatever I can't comment on it.

He's right, the debate is silly at this point

We are lucky that we live in a world that encourages multiple parties with resources to compete with each other to find solutions for what may currently be our most pressing problem. Either we find a solution to our energy/environmental problems, or nature will impose one.

Paid for by the oil and gas industry lol hydrogen is a step in between with no benefit and less efficiency and is only being pushed to keep oil and gas alive

thanks
