With IMDB ratings of 6.4 (Rock), 7.2 (Chapelle), and 4.8 (Musk, by far the lowest rating of the season). The stunt casting got people to tune in who then didn’t like what they saw. Hardly an accomplishment, getting people to watch so they find out how much they dislike your show.

It was genuine sweet fun, some cute sketches ( favorite sketches : Chad on Mars and Luigi sues Warrior) and Elon being very charming and open about himself. The skits were fun and original. Elon is funny. Didn't know that about him. Good SNL episode.
Elon SUCKED and so did the show.
As an SNL viewer I think the public in general is excited to take a break from the normal actor, actress, Hollywood celebrity. Elon musk essentially proved an untrained layman could read cue cards and wear goofy costumes, while being self-deprecating, honest and funny.
Sadly, it was the most cringey episode since Trump in 2015.

No kidding, SNL has been dead among younger audiences for years. This was the first thing to make them relevant in a long time and they still struggled to pull it off. That Baby Yoda bit was terrible. Same with the Gen Z hospital and Wario bit. Elon held the show together.
