A former Theranos lab worker, once enamored with the blood-testing startup’s revolutionary promise, is now testifying against its founder Elizabeth Holmes at a criminal fraud trial

SAN JOSE, Calif.—In the more than seven years since Erika Cheung quit Theranos Inc.

over her concerns about the blood-testing company’s practices, she has spoken out widely about her experiences—to regulators, in an HBO movie and on the public stage in a TED talk.of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, who is battling accusations that she defrauded patients and investors with promises that her technology could test for a wide range of health conditions using just a few drops of blood from a finger prick.
