The use of publication bans in Canadian courts is growing, and they are costly and time\u002Dconsuming to fight, like this one in Saskatoon.

And the media in Saskatchewan has been banned by court order from telling you even one word about it.

, which showed that there has a 25 per cent increase in publication bans in Canada over a span of just two years.Even with the support of a broad range of media outlets — the StarPhoenix, Postmedia Network, the CBC, Glacier Media and CTV News — and at a cost of thousands of dollars of legal fees, it’s taken well over six months to lift the Lighthouse ban.

We weren’t allowed to say that an outside investigation had found that the charity’s records were incomplete: That details about decisions made by the charity’s board of directors weren’t properly recorded and that, in some cases, loans weren’t even recorded in the charity’s financial documents. When the media first fought the ban — and won, in December — Windels argued the ban was needed to protect the Lighthouse from the fallout of the inspector’s report.“It is not the lifting of the publication ban that will create that risk. What creates that risk is the conduct of Don Windels and others in the organization, including members of the Board of Directors at the relevant times, who enabled and approved his conduct,” Justice Gerecke wrote.

Fox Poll Triggers GOP Senator Into Blaming Ignorant Americans for Supporting Assault Weapons BanA Fox News poll found that 63% of respondents support an assault weapons ban. The senator said they don’t know what that means Dead school kids don't lie. I wonder if he might change his stance if it was one of his loved ones senselessly murdered in a grocery store, school, place of worship, shopping mall... or is that still just the price of doing business. This is probably the same ignorant Americans that elected him to the US Senate. 🤓

We should build trust in Utah’s institutions, not cave to white supremacists, Editorial Board writesEditorial Board: All of our elected officials, of all parties and persuasion, should be making it clear that white supremacists' hateful ideologies are not welcome in Utah. If you vote for seditionists to represent you, guess what? You’re a seditionist, too. Yes, yes, and yes, Now tell me why the 'Patriots' Front were allowed to parade in our streets? They made a video about it Good luck.
