- Kevin Durant underwent surgery on Wednesday for a ruptured Achilles tendon, the Golden State Warriors player announced, as head coach Steve Kerr defended the decision to play the four-times NBA leading scorer in game five of the NBA Finals.
“My road back starts now,” he wrote on Instagram in a post accompanied by a picture of him in a hospital bed. The two-times NBA Finals most valuable player had missed the first four games of the series with a calf injury, and the Warriors had been excited to have him back for a game they had to win to stay alive.
robo-ankle is a go
A success? Can he play tomorrow? Sincerely, S. Kerr
Since when did he became a doctor?
Would anyone expect Durant to declare it a failure?
He’ll be ready for game 6
He'll never be the same, and that's too bad
Dr. Durant
Great news
If a team wanted Durant before the injury they'll want him once free agency hits. He's only got one guy that's debated as being better than he is. He'll still be the hottest free agent on the mkt.
Game 6 here we come
I hope they were able to do something about his attitude in surgery. He needs it
