The Grammys haven't mattered to me since the early 80s. You get used to it.
The problem is, YOU may really understand the genre of music you prefer, but the people who vote for Grammys have to vote for winners in multiple genres, some of which THEY may not be as familiar with as the fans. Without this deep genre knowledge, they opt for name recognition.
