Stop Acting Like Teachers Are Frontline Essential Workers –That’s Not What They Signed Up ForWe need to stop asking them to risk their own lives while keeping our kids safe and alive as well. I thought educating our children was essential. Teachers didnt sign up for A LOT of things, yet they still go to work. Too many children need school for their only meal, for a safe haven, and for counseling. So child care, grocery stores and retail are considered ‘more’ essential than a teacher? Give me a break. If a child care teacher can work in a classroom with kids all day long, a teacher can go to work also. I love teachers, and always support them, but this is ridiculous.
