Mistakes, missed chances cost Dodgers in NLCS Game 1 walk-off loss to Braves

And there was Knebel on the mound to open Game 1 on Saturday, becoming the first Dodger to start back-to-back postseason games since Kershaw in 2017. “That’s what made the most sense, just go pitch Game 2 and then you’re on a full slate,” Scherzer said. “And we know how to navigate games when I’m at full capacity.”Dodgers manager Dave Roberts says it was an easy call to give Max Scherzer, 37, an extra day of rest and tab him to start Game 2 of the NLCS on Sunday.

Cody Bellinger delivers Dodgers to historic win over rival Giants in NLDS Game 5Finally, after months of hunting the Giants, the Dodgers slayed them with a 2-1 win to advance to the National League Championship Series for the fifth time in six years. It’s a bit obtuse to say they slayed it. Even game til nearly the end, then first base ump decides to make it all about him & ruin an historical series. Don’t people down there know that the word is “slew”? A major league ump should not end a season on a more than doubtful call - he took away the change for the Dodgers to finish the game in style and record a correct out! I wish the Dodgers that luck that the Giants didn’t have in that situation - the Dodgers won the Series rightful
