A group of U.S. doctors have warned that Covid-19 can cause heart damage and failure in children after a 2-month-old infant, who was Covid-positive, was admitted to hospital with symptoms similar to those seen in adults experiencing heart problems from the disease. The infant, who was admitted to the hospital after choking and turning blue while eating, tested positive for Covid-19, though they had not displayed typical signs of the illness like a cough or fever.

Tests on the infant, who is unnamed and was not believed to have any underlying health conditions, revealed that the virus behind Covid-19 was responsible for heart damage, which led to heart failure and being put on a ventilator. Fortunately, the child recovered, regained normal heart function and did not require heart failure medications, the doctorsthis type of reversible heart injury is similar to the heart-related issues that some adults with Covid-19 experience.

While Sharma is referring to four specific case reports of adults suffering acute heart problems, early studies suggest that between 20% and 30% of adults with Covid-19 may have heart issues. Sharma encourages “testing for Covid-19 in children presenting with signs and symptoms of heart failure” while “we learn more about the impact of this virus.”"Most children with Covid-19 are either asymptomatic or have mild symptoms, but our case shows the potential for reversible myocardial injury in infants,” Sharma said, stressing the need for better Covid-19 testing in children displaying symptoms.

The Flu can kill you. The common cold can turn into pneumonia and can kill you. You don't scare me with you chicken shit stories.

Guess what, a cold a flu and even a Camel can do the same thing

This fear-mongering piece is based on 1 (ONE) child...that's not a very awe-inspiring statistical sample. Thankfully the child survived. But...come on, 'journalists'

Yes, I write about this in the following post:

n=1. But hey, that doesn’t lead to many clicks.

My kids are already failures

Apparently if you get into an air plane crash, covid can also kill you. Be careful.

I thought they were least likely to get it
