Disney announced the price hike in August, leading to almost 8 million people unsubscribing from the platform in the company's last quarter. There were 146.1 million total Disney+ subscribers, according to the company's third quarter report, which was a 7.4% decrease from the quarter before. The company has undergone multiple financial woes over the past few months, with two of its most recent movies, Haunted Mansion and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, greatly underperforming at the box office.
