Walt Disney Co. and Lucasfilm have teamed up for “Mando Mondays, ” a weekly release of new product tied to the blockbuster Disney+ series “The Mandalorian.”The second season of “The Mandalorian,” which stars the popular “baby Yoda” character, will begin airing on October 30 on Disney+.
“The Mandalorian” won seven Primetime Emmy Awards last week, including one for outstanding special visual effects. Disney DIS, -2.50% is kicking off the event on Monday with pre-orders for the Hasbro HAS, -4.80% Black Series Credit Collection, Funko Inc.’s FNKO, -5.63% new bobblehead dolls and a Lego construction set.
Disney stock has tumbled 14.4% for the year to date while the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -1.84% is down 6.3% for the period.
