Henry 'Tim' Bream III claimed he was constructively discharged when Penn State reduced his duties and his salary.

WILLIAMSPORT – A federal appeals court has affirmed the dismissal of the breach of contract suit against Penn State brought by the former director of athletic training services and head football trainer.

Bream signed a five-year contract in 2012 as Penn State’s director of athletic training services and head trainer of the football program after previously serving as the head athletic trainer for the Chicago Bears for more than 15 years. On Feb. 6, 2018, the university removed his assistant athletic director position and reduced his salary to $135,000. He resigned the same day.

In his federal breach of contract suit against Penn State filed in March 2021 he contended Green had told him his contract would be renewed at the existing terms but it didn’t happen. Bream was not charged but is named as a defendant in a third-party civil suit filed by St. Moritz Security systems Inc., of Pittsburgh.
