Temps will be around normal the rest of the week and into the weekend. Highs will mostly be in the 70s with the exception being Thursday when clouds and some rain may keep highs in the 60s. The normal high is around 70°-71° this time of year, so highs in the 70s are right where we should be. While we can't rule out a strong storm, the setup isn't robust like it was last Thursday.
A lull in activity is possible around midday, but an uptick in shower and storm coverage may then happen during the afternoon into evening hours. Bottom line: it won't rain all day in every square inch of North Texas, but at any point during the day it will likely be raining somewhere in the area.Rain totals don't look overly high, but places that find themselves under a round or two of storms could pick up near 1in of rain. Otherwise totals of around .25in to .75in will be most common with lower totals west of DFW.
