Pickaway County grandmother Geneva Spencer is among the list of thousands who are complaining to the state of Ohio about unwanted spam and robocalls. February 19, 2024 "Last week, I got a call, and it was a recording from Publishers Clearing House, you know, that I won so much money," said Geneva Spencer of Circleville. "It's constantly.. 30, 40, 50 a day."
"Actually, it's a relatively modest number of people that are contributing to the bulk of the robocalls," said Yost. "The people we sued last year are responsible for billions with a 'B.'" "Even a Mercedes," Spencer describes the claims given by the scammers who repeatedly call her cell phone. "They said I won a brand-new Mercedes.""I said, 'I'm going to call the attorney general.' He said, 'I don't care who you call. I'm still going to call you,'" Spencer told Problem Solvers.spoke with several people who have made more than 100 complaints to Yost's Office who say the spam calls will not stop.
