What's next for struggling renters now that the eviction ban has expiredThe federal eviction moratorium has expired, and landlords in many parts of the country can officially begin removing people from their homes. Even though more than 3 million people said they were likely to be evicted 'within the next two months,' according to a Census survey from early July, and nearly 5 million renters said they won't be able to pay August rent, that doesn't mean they will be evicted immediately. Plenty of people who never lost their job have been living rent free for over a year. The property owners aren’t charities! Actually, they can’t just “remove” people from their homes. They STILL have to go through the legal system. Because of Covid, it may be awhile. But at least that’ll buy people time, maybe even for the moratorium to be extended. I sure hope so🙏 Well there are plenty of jobs out there. Maybe get one of those.
