Roughly 54% of Latino voters would prefer to see Democrats keep control of Congress in the upcoming midterms while 33% would like to see Republicans take control, according to a new NBC News/Telemundo poll.

Although Democrats maintain a 21-point lead, this is narrower than in past elections. The same poll saw Democrats enjoying a 42-point lead in in 2012, a 34-point lead in 2018, and a 26-point lead in 2020, perLatina women, catholic Latinos and California Latinos were more likely than Latino men, Florida Latinos and non-catholic Latinos to prefer that Democrats retain control of Congress.

Asked to rank the most important issues facing the country, 23% said the cost of living, 20% said "threats to democracy," 17% said jobs and the economy, while 11% said immigration and the situation at the border. About 49% said Democrats would do a better job on promoting tolerance and respect as well as addressing the concerns of the Hispanic community, compared to 22% and 23%, respectively, who felt Republicans would handle these issues better.

Yet other articles state the Latino voters see what the Dems have done for them and many were going to vote GOP? Another reason to not follow just one news source.....

and the GOP would reward their votes by deporting all of them if it takes control

“Would like to see” and actual voting are two different things. So this poll carries very little weight.

There is that 30 percent of Americans will vote for Anything, like an unqualified dog turd sitting in the oval office, or the political collapse of the entire nation. Really wish polls could adjust for this.

It would be in THEIR best interest!! But people surprise me all the time.

All 33% live in miami, are from Cuba and they forgot what it's like to have no rights. Thanks!
