My 6-year-old is jealous of me breastfeeding my toddler. Should I feed her too?

I currently still breastfeed my 25-month-old toddler—we were slowly weaning before the pandemic, but now that we’re almost always in our small city apartment, he reverted and happily nurses whenever he wishes. In general, I’ve almost always been happy to breastfeed on demand. Breastfeeding has always been simple and easy for me, and both of my kids enjoyed it.

My husband and I have tried explaining that big girls get to do so many cool things a 25-month-old can’t and gone that route … unsuccessfully. We also tried indulging her with extra attention and hugs and kisses and cuddles, but she just really wants to breastfeed. We’ve also given her tons of actual milk but it just isn’t what she’s looking for.

Pay lots of good attention to her, and stop responding beyond “honey, we already explained that the answer is no” and this will clear up in due course.Dear Care and Feeding,

Jealous, seriously? Smack her upside her head. Then tell her to go prepare a jam sandwich for herself to tide her over till you're done feeding her baby brother/sister.

Wait, wut? Toddlers breastfeeding? Don't they have teeth?

Tough one this question stumped me. Instinct says this is a phase much like sucking a thumb but as I said said so many pro and cons.

No!! Wtf is wrong with people?

Hard to believe anyone is seriously wondering this.

😂

Thus us just pathetic

Humans are dumb

NO

Pretty sure she's jealous of the toddler and not you.

Lol
