The CW has canceled another DC TV show as Ava DuVernay's Naomi will not be returning for season 2, making it the third to go after Batwoman and LegendsOfTomorrow.

The CW cancels another DC TV show as Naomi will not be returning for season 2 in the 2022-2023 TV season. 2022 is going down as the year that the Arrowverse and the DC TV universe had their biggest shake-up. In January 2022, it was revealed that WarnerMedia and Paramount, who co-own The CW, were officially looking to sell the network after 16 years. While Nexstar was a reported candidate, the sale affected The CW's renewal and cancelation process from previous years.

When it came to the Arrowverse and DC TV brands, the popular franchise would usually get renewed early every year. But with the future of The CW up in the air, things weren't as safe as they normally are, with several shows landing in the bubble status. While The Flash and Superman & Lois got renewed for another season, The CW canceled Batwoman after 3 seasons, as well as Legends of Tomorrow, which finished its season 7 run in March.

Following the Naomi season 1 finale earlier this week, The CW has officially made the call to not renew the DC drama for season 2. Naomi, which was based on the DC Comics character by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker, and Jamal Campbell, starred Kaci Walfall as the titular heroine.

Yes!!! It was trash

lmao good

Meanwhile Flash has officially been the longest TV series in entire Arrowverse

AndyBehbakht Excellent!! Keep ‘em coming.

Nice

'Its so UNEXPECTED... i didnt EXPECTED this at all!!!' Yeah, lol.. character that is old like year or so..

All these CW cancellations. I'll admit, it's largely a 'guilty pleasure' channel, but I'm sorry to see the era ending.

Most likely the Flash ends with S9, so Superman and Lois will be the last one standing.

Question. I know SupermanAndLois are happily returning. Is it possible to specifically target 'cancellations' within a show? 😉

Wow all this is vicious all the cancellations seam to be toting up as if they are trying to wind down the Arrowverse.

This didn’t age well

Man critically wounded in double shooting, D.C. police sayMan is critically wounded in double shooting in D.C. I’m gonna lose my mind if this “longtime Washington Post reporter” types “police said” one more time, especially in the subheader. And the rhythmic weather reports are beyond tired. Can’t you hire a serious overnight reporter? No offense. But these dispatches are embarrassing.
