Figures show home working is four times as common as it was before the pandemic.

Ms Swash is chief executive of Wrexham-based telephone answering and live chat provider Moneypenny.

"People who have found it very, very hard to get their teams and their companies through this pandemic are those whose leaders who have micromanaged, who have not given people enough freedom and who have not given their people the environment where they can be themselves," she said. Like many others, Moneypenny - which employs 1,000 people, mainly in Wrexham - moved from office working into people's homes when the pandemic hit.Haf Gardener has been working there for three years and runs live chat options for clients.She also said she was anxious about the prospect of heading back into the office.

"Traditionally we would have had a separation between our work life and our home life and in many ways that is a positive to be able to walk away from work and switch off.
