"Parosmia is thought to be a product of having less smell receptors working which leads to only being able to pick up some of the components of a smell mixture,'" Philpott commented Tuesday. He added:"In many cases the condition is putting children off their food, and many may be finding it difficult to eat at all."

"For some children - and particularly those who already had issues with food, or with other conditions such as autism – it can be really difficult. I expect there are a lot of parents at their wits end and really worried," he said.

CDC: More Kids Hospitalized With COVID Since Pandemic BeganHospital admissions of U.S. children younger than 5 -- the only group ineligible for vaccination -- have reached their peak since the start of the pandemic, according to new data from the CDC. Sooo fkn misleading title. Children are not affected by COVID. Shame on you I was told by the nurses at Texas Children’s Hospital while my 2 yo was on oxygen due to metapneumovirus that they do NOT have kids hospitalized and on O2 for COVID.
