Gene-based vaccines from Moderna, Pfizer and its partner BioNTech are drawing early enthusiasm, but investors are hesitant to up stakes because valuations have soared

Yes and why not. Our tax dollars are underwriting most of the cost, yet these companies will want to make a mint selling the cure to us. Socialize the costs but privatize the profits.
