If you’re a new or returning college student this fall, here’s what you need to know about vaccination policies on campus Via ForbesAdvisor

Each college might have a different vaccination policy, or no formal policy as of yet, making it harder for students to make a decision. The topic is especially concerning as college-aged students currently make up a high percentage of Covid-19 cases.

The difference in the Covid-19 era is that while three vaccines—those developed by Janssen, Moderna and Pfizer—have been rigorously tested and authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ; none have yet been fully approved by the FDA. Rutgers University, the public college system in New Jersey, was one of the first to announce its full vaccine mandate for all on-campus students back in March; students can request an exemption for medical or religious reasons. The University of California system is also requiring all students, faculty and staff to be fully vaccinated before returning for the fall.

Kathy HochulNew York’s new governor said federal data shows the state’s Covid-19 death toll is about 12,000 higher than what the state reported under Andrew Cuomo. “The public deserves a clear honest picture of what’s happening,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said. How is this possible? Throwing that man completely under the bus. Yes it does. If Cuomo broke any law in reporting the information, he should be prosecuted. The Democrats need to show the Republicans how a party holds its members to account because clearly the Republicans do not know.

Wisconsin lawmaker with COVID-19 on ventilator, stableA Republican state senator from Wisconsin who opposed mask and vaccine mandates and then developed pneumonia after testing positive for COVID-19 was in stable condition Wednesday after being placed on a ventilator, his spokesman said. State Sen. Andre Jacque, 40, tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month and was hospitalized Aug. 16. “Sen. Jacque was intubated and placed on a ventilator Monday evening,” Tompach said. Good. Yahoo I hate his stance, but I hope he makes it through and changes his stance. I can’t and won’t wish this disease on anyone. I had to watch from afar as my dad died over a year ago now from it. No one should have to do that. Yahoo O, so bad boo hoo
