5:31 a.m.: Japan lifts state of emergency in Tokyo and other remaining areas
A government-commissioned panel of experts approved the move in the prefectures of Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, Hokkaido and Chiba, all of which had remained under the emergency declaration after it was lifted for most of Japan earlier this month. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe speaks at a news conference in Tokyo regarding the country's response to the novel coronavirus outbreak on May 25, 2020.
Abe lifted the state of emergency in Osaka as well as Kyoto and Hyogo on May 21, following a drop in the number of new cases reported each day. Chiba, Hokkaido, Kanagawa, Saitama and Tokyo all remained under restrictions until now.

Went to Walmart to do a curbside pickup (contactless) and only 3 people I saw who were shopping going in & out of the store wore masks. I was there only 10 minutes and saw at least 30+ people without masks going in and out. It’s horribly ignorant, rude, selfish & disgusting
