The rate of hospitalizations due to the coronavirus pandemic has slowed on New York’s Long Island after surging last week, but elected officials and hospitals say it is too early for the region to assume the worst is behind them

Like the rest of the state, Long Island appears to be approaching the apex of hospitalized cases, local officials said. Of 140,000-plus cases in New York, more than 34,000 are in Nassau and Suffolk counties, according to the state.

, please look into how hospitalizations slows while the number of cases continues to go up steadily. Hospitalization would not magically drop in the face of rising cases. Intervention - therapeutics, earlier intervention, is going on. Isn't that a huge story?
