'Owning our history allows us to break free from its shadow, empowering every American of goodwill to have the courage to challenge every day expressions of bigotry and hatred'

The Congressional Black Caucus on Tuesday gathered in Emancipation Hall at the Capitol, in a vestibule built by African slaves, to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the beginning of institutionalized American slavery in America.

Four hundred years later, prominent figures in the black community praised abolitionists and civil rights leaders at the commemoration in Washington and recounted the history of American slavery and the lasting effects it has had on racial injustice in the United States. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Majority Whip John Thune also made remarks about congressional efforts to achieve racial and social equality.

I love those stoles they wear... like we get it you’re African-American... we can clearly tell. I don’t see how that does anything for one.

America has a lot of history Did you know the Irish people suffered bigotry Did you know people thought all Italians were thugs That those natives to these land hated each other Long before America had it's own history How Spain came here before America was founded ALot happen

Colonials then made slaves of locals of countries they had conquered, so Blacks were not an isolated case

Lest we forget...the first Black Man show as declared an outright 'slave' for the rest of his life in the new world was named John Casor. His 'owner' who had him legally proclaimed a lifelong slave was named Anthony Johnson,a Free Black Man 😂

And to be used as a political weapon by those who never were slaves. Against those who never owned them !

Do your job. Your cities are rat infested cesspools. American citizens deserve better than dem politicians who race bait and get richer while they suffer. Dems politicians like slavery. Dems politicians like victimhood. Highest crime.

We know the FakeNewsMedia along with the Democrats HATE AMERICA

You will never get slave reparations because you were never slaves!!!
