Since the start of global lockdowns, makers of hygiene goods have seen a sustained boom in sales. While California-based Clorox typically holds aside excess supply for flu seasons, it says it has been unable to keep up with a six-fold increase in demand for many of its disinfectants. Clorox products are used in Uber vehicles and United Airlines planes, and are sold by major retailers like Walmart, Amazon and Kroger.
This is by design.

jtd1003 As most CEOs would tell their people... figure it out. They're still mass producing gallon bottles of bleach but no wipes (diff ingredients I know). They're creating a false shortage to boost their sales when they do produce them. Capitalism.

Shelves that used to be stocked with Lysol, Clorox wipes (and the store brand version of them) have been EMPTY for months. I once caught a delivery guy with one case of Lysol and scored two cans. He got the rest on the shelf, but they were gone in minutes. Real life.
