In the prevention part of the trial, Boulware and his colleagues are looking for people who recently had contact with someone who tested positive for the virus, for example healthcare workers or people living with someone who is infected. Recruiting is doneOnce someone joins the study, they take either the drug or a placebo for five days. As of March 31, Boulware says he and his team had enrolled 558 volunteers. The aim is to recruit 1,500 people.
Boulware says the trial has the approval of the Food and Drug Administration. Although the final results are several weeks off, a committee of independent experts known as the data safety and monitoring board will take an initial look at the results next week.

For those of with lupus and other auto immune suffers, this is a life saving drug and our lives are on the line for something that may or may not work.
Good luck.
I hope this works, all we have is hope right now. If they can determine that this works it would be fantastic.

Are real efforts being made to ensure those currently prescribed will still get their much-needed refills for treatment? I'm hearing far too many friends with lupus reporting otherwise, many getting 'thanks for your sacrifice' notes from their doctors and providers.
Under the rules, I think Twitter needs to suspend your account until you take down this tweet.
A nationwide trial is underway to see if the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine can prevent disease in people exposed to the coronavirus or at least boost profits of it's manufacturer.
Forsythia
But is there any for people who need it for proven uses? I guess keeping people from dying from Lupus isn't sexy.
