Listen to the first 2 tracks from Claude VonStroke's upcoming 'Freaks & Beaks' album

Claude VonStroke and his merry band of Bay area music makers, aka the Dirtybirds, are celebrating 15 magical years in this fickle dance floor business.

It's a huge milestone for the boutique label, which went from free barbecues in Golden Gate Park to hosting sold-out events across the country and an annual Dirtybird Campout festival in California, and VonStroke marks the occassion with an album charmingly-titled "I recorded this album in my home studio with my friends and my kids as the features," VonStroke tells Dance.

According to a press release, VonStroke switched up his creative process for this one by committing to a daily creative schedule, experimenting with analog gear, complex modular synths and iPad drum apps. He made more than 130 ideas for the LP, cutting it down to the best 11 tracks, set for full release Feb. 21.

The first two singles are out now. "All My People In The House" is delightfully funky and full of mechnaical texture, riding a very classic VonStroke groove with a lil vocal call back to Daft Punk's "Teachers." It's followed by b-side "Youngblood," a moody eight-minute evolution featuring Wyatt Marshall and dark-room ambiance.

Alongside the singles and album announcement, VonStroke shares episode one in a web-based docuseries exploring the writing and recording of The docuseries, available below, was filmed by his sister Emily. Dirtybird is also set to release a coffee table book, a seasonal clothing line and hit the US on a nationwide Dirtybird BBQ tour before the end of the year.Feb. 21. Check out the full track list and listen to "All My People In The House" and "Youngblood" below.4.
