Clark Cougars’ Ramsey Robledo makes an outlet pass late in fourth quarter In Region IV-6A girls basketball championship on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023 at Northside Gym. Clark defeated Brandeis 57-38.Kamryn Griffin charted stats from the Alamodome stands as she watched her future Clark teammates play DeSoto in last year’s state semifinals.
Griffin will be on the Alamodome floor Friday when the Cougars face Coppell in a 6A state semifinal at 7 p.m. DeSoto plays Pearland in the other 6A semifinal at 8:30 p.m.“This feels great going back-to-back, especially because we get to redeem ourselves from last year and hopefully make it to the championship,” said senior guard Ramsey Robledo, a St. Mary’s signee who was named to the all-state tournament team last year.
Unlike last year, the Cougars’ appearance at state is no surprise. Clark finished the regular season as the top-ranked team in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 6A poll.“We made a name for ourselves last year, and I think that really helped us this year,” Roberson said. “We kept that name and kept that target our back, and we’re not backing down from any competition.”
