, Christy recounted that fateful day, recalling that she wasn't able to send a tape of herself to the casting directors. “If you didn't show up for the audition, chances are you weren't gonna get an opportunity,” she explained. “And this was a big one.” She went on to describe the disappointment she felt at the time. “It was a big chance, and unfortunately, I didn't get a chance,” Christy said, adding thatwould have been a life-altering change to her career if she had gotten the role. “I wanted to do this audition so badly. I don't know why, but I just knew it could be a big deal for me. I didn't get that audition. I didn't get to go because we had to film overtime or something like that. So, sadly, I never got my shot at that.
Although Christy has some regrets about the missed audition, she doesn’t harbor any resentment or hard feelings toward Anne. She made a point to explain in her video that she and Anne have met several times, adding that thestar was certainly the right fit for the role of Mia. “She’s amazing,” Christy added. “She was so cute in it, and so charming.”
She was also clear about fans not comparing the two actors, despite the fact that they were interested in the same role. “It's not fair to pit women against each other,” Christy said. “I think we can all support one another… Just because [Anne Hathaway] looks like me doesn't mean we're the same talent.
