In May, Chris Cuomo admitted that he had"inappropriate" strategy conversations with his older brother and promised to steer clear of CNN's coverage of the scandal. After the governor's resignation, the broadcaster said in August he urged his brother to resign"when the time came," but"never attacked nor encouraged anyone to attack any woman who came forward."
In response, Ross recalled she said,"No, you can't." She said she pushed him away at the chest while stepping back to reveal her husband, who had seen the entire interaction unfold. Ross said that she “never thought that Mr. Cuomo’s behavior was sexual in nature,” but described it as “a hostile act meant to diminish and belittle his female former boss in front of the staff.”
If it was that upsetting why wait 16 years to talk about it
Dear NBCNews commenters. Please read the editorial which should answer your questions. I have been advocating against sexual harassment for over 30 yrs. I now speak out when I believe I can help move the convo forward with better remedies.
Now… now a gazillion years later she complains. Ok
In 2005 ... 16 years later
A little too late to complain right?
There have to be some limits on this.
If she was his boss, then why didn’t she fire him in 2005 after the incident?🤔
Lol here we go
Here we go again !
He most had learn it from our former 'girls like to be grabbed' President.
What is going on!
2005? Come on
16 years ago? Really?
So crazy….why didn’t she fire him
I kind of think its funny people talk about “it was so long ago” yet when that guy brett kavanaugh was accused by that woman from like 1976 everyone was all for hearing about it. Same with trump. The “grab em by the p—“ comment was also made in 2005 🤷🏻♀️ lets be consistent people
2005?
I support the the metoo But WTF, she was his boss and it was 16 years ago. I am lucky if I remember what we had for dinner last Friday.
Oh for goodness sake!
And she of course is scarred for the rest of her life.
I have great concern when a woman takes this approach after so many years. It appears her motivation is to destroy the man. Did her attempts to reach out to Chris fail and this was her last resort? If she is proud of her action and this heals all her wounds, then 🍷.
I'd like to see the email where Cuomo apologized. How'd that go- 'I'm sorry I grabbed your butt at the party. I was drunk at the time, your little butt looked so nice and I temporarily forgot it was you on the other end. Please accept my apology and don't out me in 16 years.'
I read the article. 1. It happened, as cuomo acknowledged it in a statement, and he apologized for it via email shortly after it happened in 2005. 2. Shelley demands he “repent” by agreeing on air to study effects of sexual harassment including his own, and report on it.
Irony can be so ironic....
Well, she is working hard to cheapen the Me Too movement with this claim. She was his boss. She had the power in that instance.
Makes no sense, why wait till now? $$$ diger.
If this were true why she bring it up now when it happened in 2005 I think it's petty b*******.
Don’t believe this one but.
Don’t the harassment come from the boss to the worker and not the worker to the boss? Just wondering.
She was his boss? She should have fired him as she is in the power position
Runs in the family
What the hell? Why does it take so long to report this behaviour. 2005
Bye Felicia!
