tRump, flushing America down the toilet one tairff at a time

jadande This is a problem that's been ongoing for decades. Don't blame trump. Blame yourselves for puchasing crap product from China.

It's also possible you might sell more papers with this headline. I remember when journalism was something shrouded in fact and not in conjecture. Be better. Department stores have been closing left and right and it has had nothing to do with tariffs.

Hey pro-top commenters: Amazon sells things made in China, which will go up in price if tariffs are put into place. So does Walmart. Target. Kroger. Harris Teeter. The list goes on, and on, and on.

Hahahaha. Spare me! Who writes this crap and are they Chinese?

timesrecordnews In the long run it will actually help retailers. Short pain long gain.

But only the ones making their majority living selling cheap Chinese crap

Or the eco-cowards could win and we could go back to being screwed daily by China. Its never easy standing on principle, but often necessary. Chins hoping the weak and gutless win.

And none of it due to China or tariffs. Blame it on the computer. Too much on-one shopping.

'could' Another 'could' click bait sleaze from USAT.

Oh gives us a break. Your mark up is over 500%. Cut your prices and reduce your mark up and they will come......

...on line shopping is doing this. It so much more effective to find the best value instead of driving all over to do the same. They are the results of not adapting or simply collateral damage, it is unfortunately...🤔

Why does so called 'reliable' media use 'quotes' to describe their 'biased topic'?

jadande It’s called online shopping.

You deceitful, dishonest, bias, media, tariff has NOTHING TO DO WITH STORE CLOSING, IT IS for years that AMAZON IS KILLING ALL THESE STORES. AMAZON MUST BE REGULATED, it is destroying all businesses and destroying millions of jobs, SHAME ON BEZOS

I am a bit surprised by this article because stores mentioned are known to be struggling because of online shopping so tariffs are not the beginning of their demise but may push them over the edge.

Oh Trump’s magic touch!!

Tired of winning.

More lying leftist bs

Here’s what doesn’t make sense- why are the giant corporations complaining about tariffs when they just got a massive corporate tax break last year? Shouldn’t that cover their “tariff losses”? Answer: yes, but they’re just greedy

The store closures have been escalating for the past few years and it doesn't have one thing to do with tarrifs. It's called Amazon. New era. Whenever I think the left can't come up with something sillier to blame on Trump, they prove me wrong. [Follows appreciated!]

I know of several that have closed NOTHING TO DO WITH TARIFFS

Winning!

Global Prospects For Auto Industry Turn SourIn normal times, investors in the big auto manufacturers reckon that if sales in the U.S. start to slide, then markets like Europe and China will step in, take up the slack and provide the growth.
