China has supported Cuba's argument that the United States should consider applying sanctions to itself for alleged human rights abuses before taking on other countries.
The legislation has been used by the White House to roll out restrictions on finances and travel for individuals accused of corruption and human rights abuses. But Zhao said it was Washington that fit this bill.
After the G Floyd killing and especially after the riot at the Capitol and on the rule of law on Jan 6 the US lost the moral high ground. Would have lost it permanently had the rioters prevailed with the help of their co-conspirators in Congress and 4 more years of the same
Well said! 👍
I bet you that within THREE months after the forming of this COALITION government the USA wouldn't be left with any other choice but the IMMEDIATE AND UNCONDITIONAL END TO THE EMBARGO OF 60 ODD YEARS!! But first HAVANA must come forward with ITS part of the Bet(5)
I would personally root for a victory of Diaz-Canel and a COALITION with the then formed Social-Democratic party. That is: the Social-Democratic party should provide for the PRIME-MINISTER and at least one-third of the Ministers in the Coalition Cabinet(4)
I strongly suggest Havana to allow the formation of a Social-Democratic; Christian-Democratic and a Liberal party. Diaz-Canel should stay in office till 2023. BUT in 2023 there has to be a REAL presidential elections with candidates from the THIRD PARTIES.(4)
I hereby present Havana with 2 honest options. Option 1: hold a REFERENDUM with just ONE question: do you want Cuba to continue as a ONE-PARTY STATE; Yes or No. Option 2. Havana unilaterally immediately ends the ONE-PARTY STATE and allows for the creation of THIRD PARTIES(3)
Nor can Havana present the Cuban people a positive perspective in the foreseeable future. And Yes: el bloqueo happens to be part of the problem. STILL: reality IS reality. And so I..again..as a staunch supporter of The Revolution...hold that it is time for a FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE(2)
'The U.S. should first and foremost examine its own human rights issues,....' Absolutely 'spot on'. BUT...that in no way LIBERATES us Social-Democrats from speaking out AGAINST our beloved Cuba. Let's call a spade a spade: CUBA is not CHINA. They don't have a thriving ECONOMY(1)
LOL—China concentration camps and killing its own people, while Cuba does the same….
America giving China a toehold right next to us by ignoring Cuba. Real smart.
The U.S. has issues, but nowhere is human rights violations as bad as in China. Nobody can hold a candle to the amount of human rights violations as China. There is China, and there is the rest of the world. China stands as a beacon of everything that is wrong in this world!
i couldn't agree more our gov't is so busy letting terrorist like blm take over this country so they can get votes instead of protecting the innocent citizens of this country from crime. they stupidly blame guns for crime instead of the people behind the guns. our gov't is broken
Seriously. This country has NO PLACE telling others about how to treat people. Can we say white people are still having issues with slavery so………!
Yeah- because what our citizens are experiencing with police brutality in any way compares to China’s ongoing genocide. Nonsense.
He’s not wrong🤷🏻♂️
What was going on at the US/Mexico border the past 4 years was considered a human rights violation by most countries.
I think you two just mad that big bully gets to tell the ONU who to whip 😂
Tibet? Ughers? Is that the U.S?
Human rights issues China hides America announces 😄
that's right words but that also able to apply to China. and not right words for his tongues.
You know what China may have a point.
