Chicago teachers are about to go on strike, leaving 360,000 kids in limbo

The country's third biggest school district has canceled classes as 25,000 educators plan to walk off the job Thursday.

The Chicago Teachers Union's demands reflect what teachers across the country have been clamoring for: smaller class sizes, more support staff, higher raises. But in Chicago, the dynamics are different -- and in some cases, dire.About 75% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch. In some neighborhoods, gangs and violence permeate the streets.

Public service unions may have legitimate concerns. This type of action militates against the very people they are sworn to serve. It interferes with orderly government & causes much disruption among citizens. FDR himself said as much. Find a better way. Money won't end problems.

Here's one reason...

“Workers making 25-30% less than private sector who fund their classrooms from their paychecks ask for ability to stay in classroom rather than leave profession for jobs which can support their families.” Fixed it.

The kids are being forced by globalists to skip school, anyway, so what difference does it make.

They're doing it for the kids, of course.
