Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and city officials unveiled a series of proposals to reform the city's policy and procedures on search warrants in the fallout of a botched raid on the home of a social worker in 2019.
Lightfoot, along with Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown, emphasized that the proposal requires that any individual who is at a location subjected to a search warrant must be treated with"dignity and respect.

First step towards the right thing. And needed strategy to address & unfurl layer after layer of policies that need to be peeled off, stripped from work places., Institutions, counties, States & the Country. It’ll take long, but needs to be started redress the imbalances.
There’s been a lot of botched raids by police lately, maybe they should end that practice entirely since they’re to incompetent to get it right. Botch raids that may end up with the wrong person dead shouldn’t be ok in our society bcuz it’s cops. That’s not serving & protecting.
