Chicago's annual four-day Lollapalooza music festival begins this Thursday, and members of the medical community are worried.5 Chicago, Dr. Emily Landon, executive medical director for infection prevention and control at the University of Chicago Medical Center, called Lollapalooza a"spreader" event and expressed her concerns on how the festival may impact communities around the country.

"I feel confident that the Lolla folks have a good, solid plan in place, and we're obviously going to hold them accountable," Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said. Lightfoot stressed that the festival is outdoors, adding that"large-scale events" have happened across the city all summer with"no major problems or issues."

It's a hard call for a new mayor and possibly one term if they were to stand against the city making $$. But be honest, we know it's a super spreader & with the possibility of mass infections. Remind ppl to mask up & use common sense. Because nobody is doing so.
