Chicago’s mayor canceled Thursday public-school classes ahead of an expected strike by the teachers union over demands going well beyond pay, following a national wave of teacher strikes that have brought raises and other benefits in recent years.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Wednesday announced cancellation of classes in anticipation of the strike. She said the union continues to make demands during the negotiation process.
Home school and small private schools supported by first class on line courses that are produced with government help and furnished free.
Sack them. Enough is enough.
Sounds good. Let’s try religious private schools only, for a few decades. The public system has done so much to erode the culture, a change might work out a lot of kinks.
