A number of top executives and corporate leaders gathered online this weekend to discuss what to do in response to changes to some state voting laws, according to multiple news reports. The new statement could come early this week and would build on one that 72 Black executives signed last month in the wake of changes to Georgia’s voting laws, according to the newspaper’s report.

More than 350 different voting bills are under consideration in dozens of states, according to a tally from the Brennan Center for Justice, a public-policy think tank. The Wall Street Journal reported that some executives on the call described some bills as either racist or restrictive, and several participants described their efforts as critical to democracy, rather than partisan.

Could you please provide a list of all of the top executives and corporate leaders?

We need the list of names! 100 Corp’s working with the fed gov & one party equals true fascism! Profits of these 100 Corp’s need to hurt if they are backing a fake attack on good election law. Time to protest HQ’s of each of these companies! BoycottThe100 MarchOn100HQs!!

Parallel Government

By speak out you mean lie to low information voters

Laws that actually expanded access to voting? That offer more days of early voting than the state where a lot of their headquarters are located? Seems totally legit. 🙄 I hope they all enjoy the new corporate tax laws that Biden is proposing.

Sounds like it could lead to fascism but okay

So, it's totally okay to use overseas sweat shops and child labor, nickel and dime customers, make air travel unbearable, and encourage employees to apply for welfare rather than pay a liveable wage, but showing ID to prove eligibility to vote is crossing the line. Got it.

This is called Oligarchy

WAlmart there?

I have to show photo ID to enter the buildings where these aholes have their offices, yet they don't think Ishpould show a photo ID to vote. Too ridiculous, how did these imbeciles become CEOs ?

Something racist about election security?

I want a list. need to know where not to shop

This country is now run by corporations!!

Efforts to undermine democracy more like it

Name them all so we know who has a problem with fair, fraud-free elections in America.

Who cares what CEO’s think? They’re pathetic.

well ...... well.... They created this monster. It wouldn't of happened without corporate money and greed. Suddenly...OOPS? 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ How about the people determine whether their efforts are critical to democracy ... After they do something.

👍

AND WHERE WERE THEY. . .and their CRITICAL voices when several states CHANGE the laws RIGHT BEFORE the 2020 ELECTION weren't they CRITICAL to Democracy. . .THEN

CEO actions speak louder tha CEO words. Consider halting donations, threatening relocation of business operations, supporting greater voter access financially. This will make the political arena take notice.

Does anyone these company does not check ID to hire an employee

Yet they all still line up to suckle on China's teet.

Maybe they should stay out of this, especially those that continue doing business in countries with far worse human rights violations and election security than the US.

Tell all those top executives to pay for the easily affordable voting IDs for every legal, eligible voter and call it a win-win. But we know that’s too easy of a solution for cheaters.

... and that is how fascism starts

They think everyone is that dumb. Pretty obvious what they’re doing. Want fair elections? Don’t give your money to those companies. We can control them very easily. They’re too greedy for their own good. They’ll do anything for money.

Do whatever anyone wants to do to the American Electoral System ... It's CORRUPT and FRAUDULENT and was STOLEN IN 2020 from the American People ... Good luck to Republicans ever winning an Election ... I, for one, will never Vote again! ... Why Bother?

'Stay out of politics but keep writing us checks!' - The GOP

Wondering about the rules by which they conduct shareholder votes.

Looks the ones who don't mind having corporate ceos ruling over them. Dont mind that Amazon is part of the 100 corporate leaders.

over 100 top executives and corporate leaders with a misguided understanding of their importance and value met online to stroke their egos and say look at me look at me oh please someone look at me

'Democracy' = use Corporatism to subvert democracy

Oligarchs just doing their thing....

Hahahahahah. Defund corporations

The same thing in all these stories no mention of what exactly is the problem with the voting laws. One quote is from a retired executive another is retiring in a few months. Strange how pharmaceutical and credit card companies are campaigning for Democrats. Pro working class?

I think you guys should listen to Mitch, and mind your own beeswax.

Read the bill. Carry on.

They had better read the laws before succumbing to wok pressure w/o realizing exactly what it is they are objecting to. Georgia is a perfect example of stupid is as stupid does.

The corporatocracy has spoken

Yeah, cancel everyone who doesn’t think woke! Get rid of their voice! Make them pay for thinking for themselves, having a different opinion. For wanting a fair process. Make it so they can’t even buy groceries anymore without bending their knee, oh, that’s already happening. 😷

CORPORATIONS DETERMINING THE LAW IS NOT DEMOCRACY.

Please provide a list of these CEOs

Fuck corporations. They have no place acting like this. These people voted for the representatives to make laws. It's not a corporations job to determine the law or boycott entire states. This is amazingly stupid. I hope they go broke.

This is hilarious. The CEOs met to talk about how it'll be much harder to cheat next time around. 😂 Amazing.

Umm, WTF?! Who gives a fuck what these people think? If they live in Georgia, they are free to vote on state legislators to represent them. If not, they should fuck off with this corruption. Democracy is the will of all the people, not just the will of influential people.

Or, some call it collusion!

Sounds like Corporatism, but instead of a merger of state + corporation, it's a merger of one party + corporations

Ask them to spell democracy first.

No regulations or licenses to vote, but thousands of regs and licenses to run a business? Ridiculous double standard, end all government regulation and let the people trade!
